My mate is selling his Honda CBR600RR 05 model registered on 06 plate. (It's currently on a private plate, but this is being removed and an age approporiate plate will go on). It has 5600 miles, full service history, Full R&G crash protecion, Akrapovic carbon pipe (sounds great), original included, tail tidy, led lights, colour coded passenger seat cover etc.

The rub is that it fell over at around 10mph during the winter so and the rear seat fairing cracked. It has been replaced with a Black one, which also has a scuff but looks fine on the bike,and a blue one which just need painted and will also be included. There are a couple of other minor scratches, nothing major and it is generally in great condition and has been well looked after.

After going round the showrooms looking at various new bikes he has had a few trade in offers from Yamaha and Honda at around the £4500 to £4600 mark, but has decided to buy a Ducati 848 instead. We went on Saturday to pick up the 848 and Ducati Glasgow went back on their original offer and have insulted him with a crazy reduced offer (£1500 less that the deal they had a greed on!!!) as they simply don't want the bike...they had 3 in the showroom when we looked!

Anyway as he needs £3500 so that he can get the finance on the new bike (he genuinly can't go any lower - he asked me to out it on for £3800 so the haggling has been done already!), he will let it go for that as the new bike is an ex demo and they'll only hold it for a couple of weeks for him. I recon it's a bargain and would have bought it myself if not for just buying a bike a few months back! They are going for between £4400 and £4900 on Bike trader.

I thought someone on here may be interested, I hate the idea of dealer profiteering!
