the road to the green welly is a drag strip man, nice open flowing corners......definately need to watch in the summer with the cops hanging about.the fuel is actually cheaper at the green welly than it is here at the toll.

for some reason that i can't figure out there's something in the back of my head that doesn't like the Welly, dunno what it is like!   it's maybe that i'm tight and the petrol is a bit pricey, not sure though

i know for a fact (very reliable source) that the majority of bike cops go to the Green Welly on a sunday not with the intention of doing you, but for a wee bit R & R, offer a bit of advice kind of thing, basically just to be a visible presence. they appreciate the road up as much as we do! It's only if they see anything really stupid (in the eyes of the law) that they'll do anything about it.

Great place & great roads but too much Polis. Everytime I've been up in that neck of the woods, the cops have been there. Got pulled last time for a wee number plate. Let me off though so wisnae to bad. Guid job they wirnae aboot a mile back up the road I'd just come from or the wee number plate would have been the least of my worries

The thing about the welly is its on a decent road so its a natural stop.
Also a fair number of braw burds to ogle at in summer time.
I actually like Dunkeld or Aberfeldy fir a stop, mind you spend a lot of time bumming round Perthshire.

Inveraray for me,  i've been going there for 25 years ,fishing Loch Awe ,occasionally staying overnight in Inveraray ,sometimes gettin pissed and kipping in the car .

The Inveraray webcam looks through a port-hole on the 'Artic Penguin' ,berthed at the pier.  http://www.inveraraypier.com/tv.html

The Kintyre Tearoom is good for grub as well.

Here's the boat the webcam is on.
